White Water Rafting and Sacred Monkey Forest, Ubud, Bali, Indonesia

In the northern mountains of Bali, the Ayung River makes for a great Class 3 white water rafting experience. Grab your paddles and let’s go!

After a few hours, it’s time for a beer on the river.

Surprisingly, we still had energy left before sundown to visit the Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud.

The sanctuary had hundreds of free-roaming Balinese macaques messing around (and trying to take everyone’s stuff!).

The best were sleepy or baby macaques 😀.

  1. Looks like fun what an experience. Look at you guys all set ready to go! Hey didn’t know they had a welcoming committee at the Monkey Forest. Those roots from those trees are enormous. It does look like a scene from an Indiana Jones movie. Watch out for those monkey’s they are pick pockets. Wonder if they were trained or just looking for food. Enjoy love ya God bless
