National Museum of China, Beijing

In honor of heading to the National Museum of China, we had traditional Chinese food at Lost Heaven, a great restaurant serving food from the Yunnan province (southern China). Spicy! 🌶👌

The National Museum of China sits among the many impressive buildings, statues, and monuments of Tiananmen Square.

The museum is pictured above. This massive building houses one of the biggest collections of artifacts in the world!

And the security in the area is no joke: to enter the museum, you have to go through at least 2 security checkpoints, bag x-rays, a front-and-back pat-down, and have your national ID! 👮👮

Check out these fossils and knife-shaped coins!

There was so much to see in the library that after over two hours, we decided we would come back tomorrow and see the rest of it! We got through Ancient China and some of the modern exhibits, but there’s a lot more to see!

  1. Hot stuff what was that you ate? It’s a large building like the Museum of Natural History in NYC. They seemed very secured, was the pat downs like the ones in the airports? It does time more than one day to go thru a Museum that’s for sure. Enjoy Love ya both God bless
