Floating through the Flooded Forest and Village, Siem Reap, Cambodia

Before heading to the Flooded Forest, we made a quick stop at a few temples including Preah Ko, Bakong, and Lolei.

But now it was time to head to the remote countryside and to the river!

Along with our trusty tuk-tuk driver, we boarded a boat.

Upriver, we found the floating village, home to fishing families.

Getting on one of their small row boats, we can venture into the flooded forest. A nice local resident and her child were captain and co-captain!

Quite the eerie but peaceful sight! After going through the forest, we  relaxed on Kampong Phluck Lake.

Alas, we had to make our way back into land, but at least we got to hang out with kids practicing their English!
