Grace at Chi Lin Nunnery and Happy Valley Racecourse, Hong Kong

After some delicious dim sum at Maxim’s Palace, we took a city tram ride to Chi Lin Nunnery.

The temple, built for Buddhist nuns, is extremely beautiful and natural, set in the urban jungle of Kowloon.

After feeling sufficiently relaxed, we took a tour of the eastern part of the Kowloon promenade, where you can hob-knob with Hong Kong locals like Bruce Lee.

We may have relaxed by day, but now it was time for the races! The air was electric at Hong Kong’s famed Happy Valley Racecourse, overflowing with beer, wine, hot dogs, live music, and fast horses!

Walk right up to the track if you want to and watch the photo finish!

Winner! Though not the horse we wanted 😂. Maybe next time!
