Red Theater Kung Fu Show, Beijing

This morning, we took a meandering tour of a district littered with trendy stores (as well as luxury stores) and tall skyscrapers.

But the most astonishing thing was how drastically different the smog index had changed. Look at this building, the photos taken just a few hours apart!

Some days it’ll be clear, other days it helps to have a face mask, and your eyes might get itchy. Interesting how it can change rather quickly, though.

At night, we caught the famed Red Theater Kung Fu show, started in Beijing in 2004. It surpassed both of our expectations, having a ton of lights, dancing, special effects, and great music, besides amazing martial arts choreography. (Sorry for the poor image quality; all we had at the show was our iPhones).

After talking to the cast a little bit, we took a tuk-tuk ride back home!
